| Verse of the day: "Call upon Me in the day in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." Psalm 50:15
Thought of the day: You know, when you are out of options, don't forget to call upon the name of Jesus! When we do that we evoke divine intervention into the affairs of mankind that is beyond our wildest hopes! The hand of God reaches down from the heavenlies and deflects a speeding bullet, turns the heart of the king, or even changes the course of history! The name of Jesus has miraculous power, don't you think?
Quote of the day (don't you love quotes?): "The most unbelievable thing about miracles is that they happen." G. K. Chesterton
| Verse of the day: "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain." Psalm 127:1
Thought of the day: You know, a lot of times when my labors amount to nothing, I have to stop and ask myself, "Is God directing here?" Then when I ask Him to build as I labor under His direction, things start happening! You would think that I would learn to ask Him to guide and bless my labors before I start, don't you think?
Quote of the day (don't you love quotes?): "If God is directing, and we are laboring, God will build." Petros
| Verse of the day: "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." James 4:7
Thought of the day: You know, spiritual warfare is becoming more and more blatant! But the devil is just as crafty and deceitful as ever. His greatest deceit is to convince people that he doesn't even exist, or that he is hardly dangerous. But Jesus, who dwells in the hearts of true believers, has already won the victory over him. When we experience spiritual warfare, we should openly submit to God, rebuke Satan out loud, and claim that victory in Jesus' name, don't you think?
Quote of the day (don't you love quotes?): "If I take on Jesus as my Lord, I take on the devil as my enemy." Michael Green
| Verse of the day: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 (Jesus speaking)
Thought of the day: You know, having a sense of peace - even in the midst of sorrow and despair - is priceless. The first thing I experienced after trusting in Jesus as my Lord and Savior was a real sense of peace. It is sad that many choose not to experience the peace that only comes from putting your hand in the hand of Jesus, don't you think?
Quote of the day (don't you love quotes?): "I said to a man who stood at the gate of the new year; 'Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.' And he replied, 'Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than a light and safer than a known way.'" Minnie L. Haskins
| Verse of the day: "It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep." Psalm 127:2
Thought of the day: You know, when it's getting really late, and you're getting really tired, there are few things so important that you can't put them off until tomorrow. Unless God is clearly leading you to persist, you may just need to enjoy the "sweet, sweet sleep of Jesus," don't you think?
Quote of the day (don't you love quotes?): "The sweet, sweet, sleep of Jesus brings sweet sleep to my soul!" Petros
